DENVER - As part of Governor Polis’ Vaccines for All efforts, the State of Colorado is allocating vaccines to community-based organizations and as well as continuing to conduct mobile vaccine clinics at multiple locations across the state. All of these clinics focus on vaccinating underserved Coloradans and span a variety of diverse communities.
“More than 3 million doses of this lifesaving vaccine have been distributed in Colorado and we couldn’t have done this without the support of our extraordinary partners. This is the best of Coloradans helping Coloradans, whether it’s healthcare professionals coming out of retirement to administer vaccines, volunteers staffing clinics, or students helping their older neighbors navigate technology. I’m proud of the way our community truly is coming together to end the pandemic,” said Governor Jared Polis.
Each of the following clinics are not accepting walk in appointments. You must have an appointment to attend.
FRIDAY, APRIL 9
Denver NAACP/Holleran Group/Westside Investments
“COVID has disproportionately impacted black and indigenous people of color. We must provide equal and accessible access to the COVID vaccination to black and brown essential workers, our seniors, and healthcare providers who have experienced the greatest loss in income, housing, health, and for far too many deaths. Equity clinics provide a trusted, compassionate, community-centered space for communities of color to receive care in their community. It is NAACP Denver's pleasure to do work in our community.” Sondra A-Young, President, NAACP Denver Branch
North Metro Community Services/Community Advantage
“North Metro Community Services is pleased to host a clinic in partnership with Community Advantage and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment that will vaccinate several hundred people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and the people that support them against COVID-19. We believe the facts show that vaccinations are the best way to protect our community from this terrible virus and help all of us safely get our lives back.” Randy Brodersen, CEO
Ariel Clinical Services
“As a Licensing Agency for Foster Care and programming for Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, it is important to us that the people we serve are safe and their providers are safe. On behalf of the Executive Leadership at Ariel, we’d like to thank Governor Polis’, his administration, the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, CDPHE, Jefferson
County Equity team, and their volunteers for their dedication and support. Together, we can all have better lives and fully participate in society safely one vaccine at a time.” Brooklynn Ledford HR Specialist
Connections for Independent Living
"Connections team is extremely pleased to be able to assist Governor Polis' office in providing an Equity Vaccine Clinic specifically for northeastern Coloradoans living with disabilities. We've had great support from our community in providing technology assistance and transportation which has helped break down some of the barriers in obtaining a COVID-19 vaccine. We also are grateful for feedback from those who did not want to receive a vaccine and hope to work on targeted education programs going forward." Rochelle Miller, PMP, Executive Director
SATURDAY, APRIL 10
Calvary Bible Church - Thornton Campus
“Calvary Bible Church is excited for the opportunity to love our neighbors by hosting Vaccines for All clinics at our campuses in Boulder, Erie, and Thornton! As COVID-19 vaccines are made available to those 16 years and older we do not want to lose any vulnerable or underrepresented individuals. By working with our community partners we hope to help provide access to EVERYONE in our surrounding communities. We look forward to people again being able to live in full relationship with each other and hope these clinics help play a role in that restoration”, said Mark Wicks, Director of Creative Arts.
Field of Vision Counseling
“I would never have imagined that the Field of Vision Counseling would have such a great opportunity to partner with Governor Polis's Office. You just can not quantify the health outcomes and benefits this brings to the African American Community,” said Marlon Sango, Director.
King Baptist Church
“Historically, the church has been viewed as a place of faith, hope and trust for all so in these uncharted, trailblazing times it is only fitting that King Baptist be a location for Covid vaccinations. I myself remain committed to the education and care of our community, by having people that look like us care for us,” said Loretta Tipton-Perry, Registered Nurse.
LEAF, Lyons Emergency & Assistance Fund
“LEAF is grateful and thrilled to be able to bring this community COVID clinic to Lyons and the surrounding mountain communities. For over a year now, our community has been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. And for a few months now, we've had a difficult time accessing sufficient quantities of vaccines. With no medical clinic or pharmacy in our community, people have not been able to access vaccinations via the traditional routes. This Vaccines For All opportunity is bringing hope to our friends and neighbors, and that means so much!” said Lory Barton, Executive Director, Lyons Emergency & Assistance Fund.
Representative Meg Froelich: Sheridan and Englewood
“With all Coloradans over the age of 16 now eligible to receive the vaccine, the end of this pandemic is closer than it's ever been. Making sure we get as many shots into arms as possible is the best way to build back a stronger Colorado by safely reopening our economy. I'm proud to partner with the Governor on this vaccine clinic to bring the vaccines right to the community,” said Representative Meg Froelic.
Larimer County Criminal Justice Services
“Both ASU and LCCC have large congregate populations, and Larimer County appreciates the resources Governor Polis and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment have shared with us to keep our staff, those under our care, and ultimately the public safe,” said Emily Humphrey, Larimer County Director of Criminal Justice Services.
SUNDAY, APRIL 11
The EduCenter
"Being able to bring a clinic to this community where we know many people cannot often get transportation to places more than a mile or two away from their homes has been incredibly rewarding. People in this community are so thankful to have a clinic right next to where they live." Jessica Price, Aurora Resident, Educator at Overland Highschool
Global Village Academy - AURORA
"GVA in Aurora serves people from all over the world. When we offered to do a clinic in their space, the principal, Chris Denmark, said yes without hesitation. He knows that his community might be more hesitant to get the vaccine and by offering it at the school, a place they love and trust, has made the process so much easier for them!" Jessica Price, Aurora Resident, Educator at Overland Highschool
Cleo Parker Robinson Studio
“It is an honor and pleasure to assist and serve our loyal and dedicated medical professionals working tirelessly to save lives and achieve herd immunity for our community. My purpose and motivation is to get the message out that the COVID-19 vaccination is safe, effective and critical. Blessed to be a part of an amazing team!” Jennifer Harris, Volunteer
MONDAY, APRIL 12
Durango BID and Durango Chapter of Colorado Restaurant Association
“Vaccinations are the endgame for the pandemic and are how we get back to the way things should be for businesses. The Durango Business Improvement District wants everyone to receive the safe and effective vaccine as soon as possible, and also wants to help get it in the arms of people who work in high contact settings. We took advantage of the state’s Community Based Organization clinics and received 100 shots for food service workers. It was easy to apply and we are so thankful for the opportunity!” Tim Walsworth, Executive Director
Denver Inner City Parish
“Denver Inner City Parish is excited to work in collaboration with the Governor’s Office on distributing the Covid vaccine to vulnerable community members. For more than 60 years, DICP has been empowering individuals and families to break the cycle of poverty and live healthy and productive lives. Getting educated and vaccinated are essential to combat Covid and its effects on our community.” Marc-Paul Johnsen, Educational Director
TUESDAY, APRIL 13
Prairie Middle School
"As a teacher at the high school next door, I have seen first hand the devastation COVID has had on our students and families. Being able to bring a vaccine clinic to our campus has made this process so much easier for the families we love so dearly. This is one way I can make sure that the return to full in person learning is as safe as it can be." Jessica Price, Aurora Resident, Educator at Overland Highschool
