DENVER - Governor Jared Polis was re-elected to serve on the executive committee of the National Governors Association (NGA) by his gubernatorial colleagues from across 55 states, territories, and commonwealths.
“Governors are at the forefront of transformational change and I’m honored to be selected for this position by my Democratic and Republican colleagues. The NGA is a valuable forum for forming economic partnerships, formulating new ideas, and solving problems for our states and for our country,” said Colorado Governor Jared Polis.
The National Governors Association is a bipartisan group of Governors from across the country and political spectrum which works to identify priority issues and deal with matters of public policy and governance at the state, national and global levels.
In the Fall, Governor Polis participated in a meeting with then President-Elect Biden and Vice-President-Elect Harris as part of the National Governors Association Executive Committee about how Colorado and our country can build back stronger.
Governor Polis was also recently selected to serve as Vice Chair of the Western Governors Association (WGA) by his gubernatorial colleagues from across the West.
