Adams State University Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees for Adams State University makes policy for the school and oversees its operation.

effective June 12, 2020 for a term expiring December 31, 2022:

Board of Assessment Appeals

Caring for Colorado Foundation Board of Directors

The Caring for Colorado Foundation was endowed in 1999 with the proceeds of the sale of Blue-Cross Blue-Shield of Colorado to Anthem Inc.  Its mission is to promote and serve the health care needs of the people of Colorado.  To do so, the Foundation makes grants in communities throughout the state to increase access to direct health services, to implement prevention programs, to share health information and to improve the health care infrastructure.  Caring for Colorado strives to make lasting health improvements for individuals and communities.

Colorado State Board of Chiropractic Examiners

The State Board of Chiropractic Examiners is responsible for making rules and regulations dealing with the Chiropractic Profession in Colorado.  It also grants licenses to qualified applicants, approves chiropractic schools and conducts hearings when necessary.

Governor’s Advisory Committee for Cooperation and Implementation

The Board’s mission shall be to advise the Governor and CDPHE on coordinating and harmonizing policies and rules designed to maximize social distancing during the Safer at home phase. The Board shall focus particularly on how local jurisdictions and local public health agencies can coordinate with the State on public education efforts that aim to maximize compliance and enforcement efforts for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Colorado Coordinating Council for the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

The purpose of the compact is to remove barriers to educational success imposed on children of military families because of frequent moves and deployment of their parents.

Colorado Coroners Standards and Training Board

Duties include developing a curriculum for a forty-hour training course for new coroners and approving the qualifications of the instructors who teach the course; approving training providers to certify coroners in basic medical-legal death investigation pursuant to C.R.S. §30-10-601.8 (2); and approving training providers and programs used to fulfill the annual sixteen-hour in-service training requirement specified in C.R.S. §30-10-601.8 (3).

  • Leon Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a forensic pathologist who is actively engaged in performing postmortem examinations for a county in this state and who is a member of the Colorado medical society, appointed. 

 

Colorado Healthcare Affordability and Sustainability Enterprise (CHASE)

Colorado Healthcare Affordability and Sustainability Enterprise is responsible for working with the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and the Medical Services Board to develop the hospital provider fee model, monitor the implementation of House Bill 09-1293, help with the preparation of annual reports on this program, and ensure that the Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) eligibility expansions are implemented as intended.

Judicial District Nominating Commissions

There is a judicial district nominating commission for each of Colorado’s 22 judicial districts that selects nominees for district and county judicial vacancies. Each district nominating commission is chaired by a justice of the Supreme Court, who is a non-voting member of the commission.

The State Board of Optometry sets rules and regulations for administering examinations and conducts hearings to revoke, suspend, deny or reissue licenses.

Board of Real Estate Appraisers

The Board of Real Estate Appraisers meets monthly to conduct rulemaking hearings, make policy decisions, consider licensing matters, review complaints and take disciplinary action against real estate appraisers. It is a board of seven members, appointed by the governor.

Real Estate Commission

The Real Estate Commission regulates the licensing and conduct of real estate brokers and salespeople and pre-owned home warranty service companies.

Sickle Cell Anemia Advisory Committee

The Sickle-Cell Anemia Board uses the existing staff and facilities of the University of Colorado School of Medicine to establish programs and conduct research for the care and treatment of persons suffering from sickle-cell anemia.  The Board shall be composed of eleven members representing hospitals, voluntary agencies interested in sickle-cell anemia, medical specialists in sickle-cell anemia patient care, and the general public.

Statewide Internet Portal Authority

The Statewide Internet Portal Authority develops the officially recognized statewide internet portal that provides one-stop access to electronic information, products, and services in order to give members of the public an alternative way to transact business with the state.

Stroke Advisory Board

The Stroke Advisory Board evaluates potential strategies for stroke prevention and treatment, and develops statewide needs assessments identifying relevant resources to improve quality of care for stroke patients.  Each January 1, the Board submits a report specifying its findings and recommendations to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the corresponding committees in the State House and State Senate.
