Air Quality Control Commission

The Commission develops and maintains a comprehensive program for the prevention and control of air pollution in Colorado. The major goal of this program is to meet national ambient air quality standards.

for terms expiring January 31, 2023:

  • Michael Ogletree of Denver, Colorado, a person with appropriate scientific and technical training or experience, appointed;

  • Charles George Grobe of Craig, Colorado, to serve as a person with appropriate industrial experience, reappointed;

  • Randal Ahrens of Broomfield, Colorado, to serve as a person with appropriate industrial experience, and with private sector experience, appointed;

  • Gerald Lee Arnold of Englewood, Colorado, to serve as a person with appropriate industrial experience, and with labor experience, appointed.

 

Charter School Institute Board

The mission of the Institute Board shall be to foster high-quality public school choices offered through institute charter schools, including particularly schools for at-risk students.

for terms expiring July 1, 2023:

  • Danyell Lewis of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a member with board or public service experience and, as a Democrat, appointed;

  • Eric Sedric Lerum of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a member with board or public service experience and, as a Democrat, reappointed. 

 

Civil Rights Commission

The Colorado Civil Rights Commission investigates complaints and conducts hearings concerning alleged discrimination in employment, apprenticeship programs, on-the-job training, and vocational schools.  The commission also investigates the existence of discriminatory or unfair employment practices by a person, employment agency, labor organization, or vocational school.  It is also charged with the promotion of good will and cooperation among various racial, religious, and ethnic groups in the state.

for terms expiring March 13, 2024:

  • Ajay Menon of Fort Collins, Colorado, to serve as a representative of statewide chamber of commerce, and as an Unaffiliated, reappointed;

  • Cherylin Peniston of Thorton, Colorado, to serve as a representative of an employee association that represents workers in Colorado, and as a Democrat, appointed.

 

Emergency Medical Practice and Advisory Council

EMPAC advises CDPHE regarding the appropriate scope of practice for emergency medical technicians, including waivers to the scope of practice, and for criteria for physicians to serve as EMS medical directors.

for terms expiring October 15, 2022:

  • William Wood Dunn, NREMT-P of Avon, Colorado, to serve as an emergency medical technician certified at an advanced life support level who is actively involved in the provision of emergency medical services, occasioned by the resignation of Mike Terrell Scott of Parachute, Colorado, appointed.

 

Governor’s Education Leadership Council 

The purpose of the Education Leadership Council shall be to convene a multi-stakeholder group to develop a strategic plan to drive improvements to Colorado’s P-20 educational system in alignment with our workforce system and shall include all elements of the P-20 educational system and connection points with the workforce system. The Education Leadership Council shall also provide a forum to discuss policy, legislative and financial initiatives that could be created, implemented or promoted for the purpose of addressing the state’s early childhood efforts and world-class postsecondary programs and institutions that link directly to the workforce system and to  prepare students for successful entry into formal education.

for terms expiring August 4, 2023:

  • Felicia A. Casto of Whitewater, Colorado, to serve as a classroom teacher, reappointed;

  • Brandon LaChance of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to serve as a school superintendent, reappointed;

  • Daniel J. Snowberger of Durango, Colorado, to serve as a school superintendent, reappointed;

  • Timothy Foster of Grand Junction, Colorado, to serve as a member who is a postsecondary administrator representing the four-year sector, reappointed;

  • Patricia Anne Erjavec, PhD of Pueblo, Colorado, to serve as a member who is a postsecondary administrator representing the two-year sector, reappointed;

  • Kyle Andrew Sickman of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a business member of the Colorado Workforce Development Council, reappointed;

  • Richard Lorin Garcia of Erie, Colorado, to serve as an individual with experience and interest in the education system, reappointed;

  • Leroy James Williams of Parker, Colorado, to serve as an individual with experience and interest in the education system, reappointed;

  • Sue Elizabeth Renner of Denver, Colorado, to serve as an individual with experience and interest in the education system, reappointed;

  • Cheryl Gomez of Montrose, Colorado, to serve as a school principal, appointed.

 

Motor Vehicle Dealer Board

The Board licenses and regulates motor vehicle dealers and salespersons.  It also works to resolve consumer complaints about dealers, holds hearings and orders corrective action.

for terms expiring June 30, 2023:

  • Kevin Shaughnessy of Littleton, Colorado to serve as a representative of licensed motor vehicle dealers, appointed;

  • Ramona Lee Graves Bode of Aurora, Colorado to serve as a representative of licensed used motor vehicle dealers, reappointed;

  • John Linton of Denver, Colorado to serve as a member of the public at large, reappointed.

 

Board of Examiners Nursing Home Administrators

The Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators licenses nursing home operators and may conduct hearings to revoke, suspend, deny or reissue licenses.

for terms expiring July 1, 2024:

  • Lori Granberg of Hudson, Colorado, to serve as a member of the public at-large, appointed;

  • Layne Mielke of Arvada, Colorado, to serve as a member of the public at-large, reappointed.

 

Rehabilitation Advisory Council

The State Rehabilitation Council advises State Rehabilitation Services on the provision of appropriate and quality services to its customers. A majority of its members must be persons with disabilities.  The Council in the State of Colorado operates under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and C.R.S. 26-8-101-106.

effective August 1, 2020 for terms expiring August 1, 2023:

  • Ben Wankle of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a representative of business, labor and industry, reappointed;

  • Susan Richardson of Denver, Colorado, to serve as a representative of community rehabilitation program services, reappointed;

  • Kristin Corash of Erie, Colorado, to serve as an ex-officio, non-voting member, and the director of the division of vocational rehabilitation, appointed;

  • Mark Alexander Kollasch of Colorado Springs, Colorado, to serve as a representative of client assistance programs, appointed.

 

Statewide Internet Portal Authority

The Statewide Internet Portal Authority develops the officially recognized statewide internet portal that provides one-stop access to electronic information, products, and services in order to give members of the public an alternative way to transact business with the state.

for a term expiring June 1, 2024:

  • Brandy Reitter of Eagle, Colorado, to serve as a representative of local government, appointed.

 

Tenth Judicial District Nominating Commission

There is a judicial district nominating commission for each of Colorado’s 22 judicial districts that selects nominees for district and county judicial vacancies. Each district nominating commission is chaired by a justice of the Supreme Court, who is a non-voting member of the commission.

for a term expiring December 31, 2025:

  • Amy Gasperetti of Pueblo West, Colorado, to serve as a non-attorney, as a Republican, and as a member from Pueblo County, appointed.

 

Board of Commissioners of Veterans Community Living Centers

Advise the Division of State and Veterans Nursing Homes, the state nursing home located in Trinidad, and the veterans nursing homes located in Florence, Rifle, Aurora, and Monte Vista, Colorado; provide continuity, predictability, and stability in the operation of the state and veterans nursing homes; and provide guidance to future administrators at the state and veterans nursing homes based on the collective institutional memory of the Board of Commissioners.

for a term expiring July 1, 2021:

  • Danielle Andrade of Thornton, Colorado, who has expertise in nursing home operations and who has experience in multi-facility management of nursing homes, as a Republican, and occasioned by the resignation of Cheryl Ann Kruschke of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, appointed.
