DENVER — Today, Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment announced that Colorado’s unemployment rate has declined to 3.6% in April. Industries like retail, recreation, entertainment, arts and trade have now recovered all jobs lost in early 2020 and growth significantly outpaces the U.S. In March, Colorado had the third fastest recovery in the labor force participation rate in the nation.

Governor Dianne Primavera, bill sponsors, health care providers, and behavioral health leaders to sign new laws to save Coloradans money on healthcare, reduce the cost of prescription drugs, continue building and sustaining Colorado’s healthcare talent pool and workforce, helps keep Coloradans safe and enhances our thriving economy, and strengthen the continuum of high-quality behavioral health services to help all Coloradans thrive.

THORNTON — Today, Governor Polis will sign new laws to act on lessons learned, honor the sacrifices that all Coloradans made to protect hospital capacity, and ensure healthcare readiness for Colorado. This legislative effort will implement the steps outlined in the Governor's Roadmap to Moving Forward, ensuring that Colorado’s emergency and health systems are prepared to meet the needs of Coloradans.

DENVER - As the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) meets this Thursday, Governor Polis is urging the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to authorize the safe and effective COVID vaccine for children under 5, empowering the ACIP to review the application this week and the CDC to approve the life-saving vaccine for use for this age group.
