DENVER - As part of Governor Polis’ Vaccines for All plan, the State of Colorado is allocating vaccines to community-based organizations across the state to host a total of 26 vaccination clinics between Friday, March 5 - Thursday, March 11, 2021. These clinics will focus on vaccinating underserved Coloradans and span a variety of diverse communities. 

DENVER - This Friday, March 5th marks one year since the state announced the first confirmed COVID-19 case in Colorado. During the past year, we have tragically lost nearly 6,000 Coloradans to this deadly virus. In an effort to honor those who we have lost over the last 12 months, Governor Polis invites all Coloradans, counties, cities, businesses, and organizations to participate in a virtual statewide Evening of Remembrance.

DENVER - Governor Polis took action in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

DENVER - Governor Polis encouraged the nation’s governors to request federal energy assistance as part of the next COVID relief package, to hold utility customers harmless from increased heating and electricity costs due to recent severe storms across the country.

In a memo to the National Governors Association, Gov. Polis outlined this year’s extreme winter events, exacerbated by COVID’s financial strain on U.S. households, which demonstrates the need to extend additional federal energy assistance support to utility customers.

DENVER - Governor Polis urged Colorado’s federal Congressional delegation to extend several crucial supplemental federal benefit programs before they expire in March to ensure that Coloradans continue receiving the financial support they need during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Each time Congress lets federal assistance programs lapse and or changes the eligibility criteria the state has to wait for guidance from the US Treasury, then it must reprogram the UI system to that guidance causing unnecessary delays and hardship for thousands of Coloradans.
