DENVER- Earlier today, Gov. Jared Polis and the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA), in partnership with Attorney General Phil Weiser, submitted the State’s official response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) interim final rule related to the establishment of a Domestic Hemp Production Program. Members of Colorado’s Congressional delegation voiced their support for the submitted comments on the USDA’s interim final hemp rule.

DENVER - Following reports regarding his proposal to ensure Colorado’s state employees have access to paid family and medical leave, Gov. Jared Polis released the following statement:

This modest proposal, when paired with our requests for a pay raise for workers, would bring about real change and ensure that Colorado becomes an ‘employer of choice’. Governor Dianne Primavera released the Colorado Hospital Cost Shift Analysis Report that reveals, despite significant reductions in uninsured rates and uncompensated care, Colorado hospitals are persistently increasing the price of care while receiving significant increases in Medicaid payment rates.

DENVER - This Wednesday, January 15, is the open enrollment deadline for Coloradans to enroll in individual health insurance plans. The next few days are the last opportunity to enroll in coverage for 2020, unless someone experiences a special circumstance like losing their employer-based insurance, getting married, divorced or the birth of a child.
