    Governor Polis Convenes Legislative Redistricting Commission

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis today sent a letter convening the Colorado Legislative Redistricting Commission on March 30, 2021, pursuant to section 44.2(1)(a) of article V of the Colorado Constitution. The Commission will be responsible for determining the boundaries for Colorado’s Congressional districts and may be tasked with determining the boundaries for an 8th district, dependent upon reapportionment data from the federal government.

    Governor Polis Announces All Coloradans 16+ Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine Starting April 2

    DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis announced that starting this Friday, April 2nd, all Coloradans over the age of 16 will be eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine, and all Coloradans over the age of 18 will be eligible to receive the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The Governor shared that the State anticipates that everyone who wants it will have access to the vaccine before the end of May. He was joined by Brigadier General Scott Sherman to discuss the next phase of vaccine distribution.

    Gov. Polis Orders Flags Lowered to Honor Passing of Chief Chester Riley

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis today ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, March 27, 2021, in honor of Nucla Naturita Fire Protection District Chief Chester Riley. 

    Chief Riley was one of the first responders to arrive on scene of a motor vehicle crash. While securing the scene, he suffered a fatal heart attack, which was ruled a line of duty death. 

    Chief Riley was 56 years old and is survived by his wife, son, father, and two brothers.
