Governor Polis Statement on Unanimous Recommendation of Moderna COVID-19 Booster for Americans Over 65 & At High Risk for Severe Illness or Exposure to COVID-19

DENVER - Governor Jared Polis released the following statement upon reports that an independent U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory panel voted in an unanimous, 19-0 vote to authorize Moderna COVID-19 vaccine boosters for Americans 65 and older, anyone 18 and older with underlying conditions, and those who work around others at and therefore risk exposure at their jobs.

Biden Administration Announces Approval of Colorado’s Inclusive Health Care Plan to Set Colorado’s Essential Health Benefits

DENVER - Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), announced it has approved the Colorado health insurance plan that will set the minimum health care coverage requirements starting in 2023. The plan establishes the essential health benefits (EHBs) within Colorado for individual plans (meaning not from an employer) and small group plans (for small employers with less than 100 employees).
