DENVER — Today, Governor Polis signed bipartisan legislation into law, SB23-050 Eligibility For Agricultural Future Loan Program sponsored by Representatives Richard Holtorf & Karen McCormick, Senators Cleave Simpson & Dylan Roberts, to build upon the Polis administration’s ongoing support for Colorado’s thriving agriculture industry. This legislation provides key resources to farmers and ranchers to help grow their farms and ranches. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis, Senate Majority Leader Dominick Moreno, Representative Iman Jodeh, Representative Steven Woodrow, Representative William Lindstedt, Representative Ruby Dickson, environmental leaders, local government officials, housing, business, labor leaders, and community leaders will announce a comprehensive plan to help create more housing now for every Colorado budget.

DENVER — Today, Governor Polis signed bipartisan legislation into law during a ceremony held in the Governor’s office. 

DENVER – The Governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) released its quarterly economic forecast today showing Colorado’s strong economy continues to grow faster than other states in the United States. 

DENVER - In an ongoing effort to rapidly improve Colorado’s air quality, Governor Polis directed state agencies to take new and comprehensive steps to help build upon his administration’s landmark clean air efforts. Today, Governor Polis announced a new and historic effort to curb harmful air pollution from the oil and gas sector and the first comprehensive nitrogen oxides (NOx) reduction program for oil and gas in the U.S. to reduce oil and gas emissions by at least 30% in the next two years (in 2025) and at least 50% in 2030.

DENVER – In his State of the State address, Governor Polis outlined his vision for Colorado and how to address housing challenges. Today, Governor Polis and the Business Funding & Incentives division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced the first three recipients of the Innovative Housing Incentive Program (IHIP) grant. This grant is in line with the Governor’s plans to help create a house for every Colorado budget and invests in companies working to support Colorado to achieve more housing. The first round of grant funding will directly incentivize the creation of over 1,000 affordable and attainable housing units across Colorado and contribute to the recipients’ work to create more than 4,000 units over the next three years. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis, joined by bipartisan lawmakers including House Speaker Julie McCluskie, State Representatives Matthew Martinez, Rose Pugliese, Don Wilson, State Senators Janet Buckner and Perry Will, Senate Minority Leader Paul Lundeen, members of the Governor’s cabinet, Colorado Community College System chancellor Joe Garcia, community members, and students, announced legislation to connect hardworking Coloradans with the skills and training they need to thrive, saving people money on advanced training and education and filling Colorado’s in-demand jobs. Through flexible scholarship support to save students money on postsecondary education and training and zero-cost credential programs for in-demand jobs, this legislation paves the way for Coloradans to pursue good-paying careers while meeting the needs of Colorado’s robust workforce.
