    Colorado Aerospace Industry Continues to Grow: Polis-Primavera Administration Announces INTUITIVE Expansion in Colorado Springs

    COLORADO SPRINGS – Governor Polis, Lt. Governor Primavera, and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced today that Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE), an aerospace engineering and analysis firm, has selected Colorado Springs for expansion. There, INTUITIVE will support the state’s leading aerospace and defense industry by providing engineering, analysis, problem-solving and technical management support to government, defense and military clients.

    Polis Administration Announces Colorado Communities Receive Millions in Funding for Forest Restoration and Wildfire Mitigation Efforts

    DENVER – Coloradans who live in the wildland-urban interface (WUI) have had to adjust to a new normal of living with a year-round threat of wildfire. The Polis administration understands that preparation is key to reducing wildfire risk, and the State of Colorado provides funding to assist communities and groups across the state to reduce the risk of wildfire and promote forest health.

    DENVER – Today, Governor Polis and the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office (OREC) of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced nine new recipients of the Colorado State Outdoor Recreation grant across the state. These grants will provide professional development for over 200 students and workers across Colorado as they prepare for or further their careers in outdoor recreation, including organizations that provide outdoor experiences to youth who might otherwise experience barriers to outdoor recreation.

    Boosting Global Competitiveness: Under Polis Administration, Colorado Strategically Positioned to Excel as Regional Technology and Innovation Hub

    DENVER – Under the Polis administration, Colorado is globally competitive across a wide range of Advanced Industry sectors and is strategically positioned to excel as a Regional Technology and Innovation Hub (Tech Hub) under the CHIPS and Science Act. The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) will be launching a competitive process to designate 20 federally-designated Tech Hubs across the country, with $500 million in appropriated funding available in 2023 to help these hubs drive technology- and innovation-centric growth. Partners across the state are collaborating to highlight Colorado’s strengths and champion this opportunity to grow the nation’s advanced and emerging technology industries.
