PARKER – Today, Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced that Safran Defense & Space Inc., (Safran DSI), the U.S. subsidiary of global aerospace leader Safran, has selected Colorado for expansion. In Colorado, Safran will support the growth of the North American small satellite market, which is expected to reach more than $5 billion by 2030. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis and Major General Laura Clellan released the following statements after the crash of a Civil Air Patrol Plane in Larimer County that resulted in the loss of Pilot Susan Wolber and aerial photographer Jay Rhoten, and the injury of Randall Settergren. The aircraft was out of the Thompson Valley Composite Squadron and was conducting a routine training mission training aerial photography. A rescue was conducted via helicopter by the Colorado Army National Guard and Randall Settergran was airlifted to a medical facility in order to receive care. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis issued an Executive Order creating the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Forensic Services Committee as part of the Governor’s continued efforts to make Colorado one of the top ten safest states.

DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis and First Gentleman Marlon Reis pardoned Lady Riketa Featherington, Dinger, Rockette, and Fred, the second group of turkeys to receive an official Governor’s pardon in Colorado. Colorado’s Turkey Pardon is a unique way to support local Colorado farmers and ranchers and highlights opportunities for Coloradans to shop locally to celebrate the holiday season. The Governor and First Gentleman Reis were joined by Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera, Colorado Department of Agriculture Commissioner Kate Greenberg and Colorado State FFA officers.

STATEWIDE – Today Governor Polis, the Department of Local Affairs Colorado Resiliency Office (DOLA CRO) and the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced program outcomes after closing out their three and a half year Regional Resiliency and Recovery Roadmaps program, which resulted in the creation of 842 jobs and formation of $9,386,882 in capital across rural Colorado.

DENVER – To enhance global economic ties, showcase Colorado’s strengths and boost the state’s thriving economy, Lt. Governor Primavera led a delegation on behalf of Governor Polis to the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and Taiwan.

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis announced Colorado Transportation Vision: 2035, which includes new goals and strategies to reduce transportation-related air pollution and GHG emissions by increasing transportation options, expanding transit services, and building more housing near train and bus stops.
