GREELEY - Today, Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera celebrated the groundbreaking for the College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). This new Medical school, the third medical school in the state, will help support Colorado’s healthcare workforce, ensuring that Coloradans have access to high-quality care. The Lt. Governor joined UNC President Andy Feinstein, Greeley Mayor John Gates, UNC Board of Trustees Chairman Dick Monfort, and other community leaders for the groundbreaking. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and DonorsChoose announced that an additional $1.2 Million in Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) funding will be used to fund project submissions from 2,348 Colorado educators around the state who did not receive funding in August. 

DENVER - As Colorado gears up to celebrate National Public Lands Day on September 28, Governor Jared Polis and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) are announcing new data underscoring the continued growth and importance of outdoor recreation in the state's economy. Today, Governor Polis and CPW released an updated economic impact and outdoor recreation participation report highlighting that in 2023, outdoor recreationists in Colorado spent over $52.1 billion dollars on trips and equipment, contributing to a total economic output of $65.8 billion.

GOLDEN - Today, Governor Polis joined global leaders at the Colorado School of Mines for the Global Leaders Energy Summit to discuss Colorado's nation-leading work in clean energy. Colorado remains steadfast in reaching the administration’s goal of 100% clean energy by 2040. 

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and the Colorado Department of Public Safety announced new data showing a steady decline in crime across categories in Colorado following the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report showing crime rates have declined nationally. 

LITTLETON - Today, Governor Polis helped kick off two new facilities that will support Colorado’s climate goals and protect the state for future generations. First, Governor Polis attended the grand opening of the new agrivoltaics Solar Farm at Denver Botanic Gardens’s Chatfield Farms. This solar farm, funded through Denver’s Climate Action, Sustainability & Resiliency, will create clean energy to power the entire site while generating low-cost energy for 150 Denver Public School families. The Governor joined Denver Mayor Mike Johnston at the Chatfield ribbon cutting. 

LAKEWOOD — Governor Polis and the Division of Criminal Justice announced the 15 Colorado organizations across ten counties who are the recipients of the State Multidisciplinary Crime Prevention and Crisis Intervention funding (CPCI), a total of $3 million.

(Nasdaq: SLDP), an industry-leading developer of next-generation all-solid-state battery technology, plans to expand its presence in the state. 

 COLORADO SPRINGS - Today, Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera joined members of Sports Corp, and the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region to celebrate the announcement that the Senior Games would return to Colorado in 2025. Competitors in the Colorado Senior Games can go on to compete in the National Senior Games. The event will promote health, wellness, and camaraderie among senior athletes, while also highlighting the vibrant spirit of Colorado’s senior community.
