    DENVER- Today, Governor Polis appointed Amy Danielle Touart to the Arapahoe County Court in the 18th Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the appointment of the Honorable LaQunya L. Baker to the 18th Judicial District Court and is effective immediately.

    Supporting Small Businesses Across Colorado: Polis Administration Awards 40 Digital Marketing Grants

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and the Business Support division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced the 40 recipients of the digital marketing grant that is distributed through the Small Business Accelerated Growth Program. This grant awards small businesses in Colorado $5,000 to help business owners across the state establish an online presence with a focus on social media and website best practices.

    Governor’s Plate at Colorado State Fair: Grand Junction, Pueblo, Edgewater, Castle Rock Represented at 2023 Competition

    PUEBLO — Six food trucks from across Colorado have been selected to compete during the 2023 Governor’s Plate competition at the Colorado State Fair on Tuesday, August 29. Three returning favorites and three new contestants will be vying to wow Governor Polis and event attendees with sample sized dishes created with Colorado Proud ingredients. Governor Polis will award the Governor’s Plate to a winning truck. Competitors will also battle for the coveted People’s Choice Award.

    The Advisory Committee on Governmental Accounting assists the auditor in formulating and prescribing a classification of accounts which will be uniform for every level of local government.

    Polis-Primavera Administration Applauds Decision to Retain U.S. Space Command in Colorado

    DENVER  - Today, Governor Jared Polis and Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera issued the following statements in response to President Biden’s decision to keep U.S. Space Command in Colorado Springs. The Polis-Primavera administration in partnership with Colorado’s federal delegation, and local leaders have consistently advocated for Space Command to remain in Colorado and Governor Polis personally urged a former President to follow that recommendation in 2020 as well as the current President.

    DENVER- This year marks the 147th annual Colorado Day, and ahead of August 1, Governor Polis encourages Coloradans to celebrate safely and highlights upcoming events happening statewide during this year’s Celebrate Colorado. August 1 marks the day Colorado officially entered the Union and became a state, and now serves as a time to look back on the history of our state, promote local businesses, and come together to celebrate everything that makes Colorado great. Community organizations, restaurants, businesses and state agencies have added free and discounted events statewide starting July 28, 2023 through August 6, 2023.

    Growing Colorado’s Semiconductor Industry: Polis Administration Capturing Federal CHIPS and Science Act Funding for Colorado Jobs and Economy

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) announced the CHIPS Refundable Tax Credits Program to aid Colorado companies in securing federal funding available through the CHIPS and Science Act. This funding will support the development of the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries within Colorado, creating new good-paying jobs and contributing to a strong, diversified economy.

    Polis Administration Announces Bustang Cutting Fares in Half through September

    DENVER – Today, the Polis administration and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that the state is cutting its Bustang fares in half for most routes in August and September, providing a lower-cost alternative to driving and helping to support statewide efforts to mitigate ground-level ozone pollution.
