DENVER  — Today, Governor Jared Polis signed 19 bills into law, issued two vetoes, and signed an Executive Order. 

Board of Commissioners of the Veterans Community Living Centers

The Centers shall evaluate the State and Veterans’ Nursing Homes located in Home Lake, Florence, Trinidad, Rifle, and Aurora, Colorado, and shall determine the expertise and resources Necessary for the unit of state government charged with administering state and veterans' nursing homes to effectively manage the nursing homes and assure the ongoing provision of high-quality care. The Center shall consider the agency location of that unit, its authority and responsibilities.

DENVER - Governor Polis took action in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

DENVER  — Governor Jared Polis signed bills into law during signing ceremonies in Pueblo, to create Front Range Rail, help Colorado workers, and improve education. Later in the day, he signed bills in Englewood to increase disability resources. 

DENVER - Governor Jared Polis was elected Vice-Chair of the Western Governors Association. Gov. Polis released the following statement: 

DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis announced his support for the bipartisan federal infrastructure framework announced by President Joe Biden. If approved by Congress, this would be the largest long-term investment in American infrastructure in almost a century. 

PIKES PEAK - Governor Jared Polis joined President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, administration officials, and Western Governors for a discussion on wildfire prevention, response and climate change. 

DENVER - Colorado continues to be on track for 70% of adults to receive at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and achieve President Joe Biden’s aspirational goal of vaccinating 70% of Americans aged 18 and up by July 4th. To date, 69.64% of Coloradans 18 and older have received at least one dose of the life-saving COVID-19 vaccine.

DENVER  — Governor Jared Polis signed bills into law in Denver and Aurora to provide Colorado’s agriculture community additional support and funding. Gov. Polis also signed bills to support the state’s educators and students.   

DENVER- The West Colfax Business Improvement District (WCBID) in Denver received a Revitalizing Main Streets grant award of $44,700 to create a community space, night market and mobility improvements below the Colfax Viaduct in the Sun Valley neighborhood near Empower Field at Mile High. The “Under the Colfax Viaduct Community Night Markets” project is in collaboration with Denver Streets Partnership and the Westside Stadium Community Coalition. CDOT has also been involved in stakeholder and planning meetings for the project.
