BOULDER - Governor Polis tested positive for COVID-19 this morning and he has been testing regularly due to a known exposure. The Governor is fully vaccinated, is asymptomatic, and will be working from home with his full schedule until he is no longer contagious (for five days if he remains asymptomatic).

DENVER — Today, Governor Polis signed an Executive Order amending and extending the current COVID-19 disaster declaration to include RSV, influenza, and other respiratory illnesses. The disaster declaration allows agencies to continue to access state and federal funding for recovery efforts, to rapidly respond to changes in the public health environment, and to support the healthcare system to remain appropriately staffed and prepared to respond to public health. The amendment allows the Colorado Department of Insurance (DOI) to issue emergency rules to reduce administrative burdens on transfers, including pre-authorization requirements, to ensure Coloradans receive necessary healthcare.
DENVER - Today, Governor Polis issued an Executive Order appointing Don Wilson to represent House District 19 following the resignation of former Rep. Tim Geitner. This appointment is effective immediately and will continue until January when the legislature convenes. Yesterday, Representative Wilson was elected and will represent House District 20. In January when the legislature convenes, a State Representative will serve as representative for House District 19 and Representative Wilson will serve as the representative for House District 20.
DENVER - Governor Jared Polis ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings and properties tomorrow to honor the life of Minority Leader Hugh McKean. The flags will remain lowered from sunrise to sunset tomorrow for his memorial service at the Colorado state capitol which will begin at 11:30 a.m. MT.
